‘brackets/soft‘ consists of two translucent photographic textiles and two open wooden frames whose relationship remains provisional. The textiles are draped over the frames and carried by them, without being stretched, contained, or fully enclosed.
Frame and image remain distinct elements, yet they touch, overlap, and alter one another. Folds, transparency, and shifting layers produce changing degrees of visibility; wall, wood, textile, photographic image, and shadow enter the work at the same time. What is seen depends on how the materials meet, where they fold, and how light moves through them.
The work can be reconfigured with each installation, so no single arrangement becomes final. The frame functions not as a boundary around the image, but as a temporary structure that holds relationships in suspension.
