‘still, a photograph’ (2025 / reconfigured 2026)
Two sublimation transfers on translucent polyester textile
Two textile lengths, each 112 × 1,140 cm
Installation dimensions variable

‘still, a photograph’ consists of two 11.4-metre-long sublimation transfers on translucent polyester textile, each carrying the same photographic image repeated eight times. Released from the wall and from a fixed image plane, the photograph becomes a soft spatial form: folding, overlapping, and partially concealing itself within its own material.

Through translucency, repetition, and shifting layers, fragments of the image appear and withdraw. Light passes through the textile, producing changing densities, shadows, and overlaps. In its collapsed configuration, the image is both visible and inaccessible, encountered through folds, distance, and partial views.

The work treats photography as a material and spatial presence rather than a stable representation. Scale, gravity, light, and installation determine how the image is experienced, allowing it to remain in transition between surface, object, and encounter.
