‘she/her/hers‘ is a suspended photographic-textile work composed of two photographic fragments transferred by sublimation onto translucent polyester. The fragments are hand-stitched onto a soft textile support, edged with elastic binding, and suspended from a metal rod. Seams, folds, and attachment points remain visible, making the structure of relation part of the work itself.
The photographic fragments remain distinct while becoming interdependent through the textile support. Folding, translucency, and overlap allow parts of the image to appear while others recede or remain partially withheld. Light passes through the material, producing shifting densities and shadows that change with the viewer’s position and movement in space.
The work considers how an image can exist through relation rather than through a single fixed surface. Its elements remain in proximity without fully merging, allowing photography to become a soft, material, and spatial presence shaped by light, distance, and encounter.
