‘into/me/see’ is made from a single sublimation print on polyester, split and attached across the front and back of a handmade wooden frame. The image is not held as one continuous surface; it is divided between two sides of the support, asking the viewer to move around the work rather than encounter it from a single frontal position.
The translucent layers interrupt and complicate the act of looking. Image, frame, interior, exterior, and shadow enter into relation, while the photograph remains partially withheld. What appears on one side is affected by what is carried behind it.
The title plays on “intimacy” as both nearness and an act of seeing into. In the work, this nearness does not produce full access or transparency. Instead, ‘into/me/see’ holds the image in a state of separation and relation, where looking becomes partial, spatial, and dependent on the viewer’s position.
